The Indonesian Biodiversity Foundation (KEHATI) in collaboration with Bank CIMB Niaga will plant 3,000 Tabah Bamboo seeds (Gigantochloa nigrociliata) in Rarung KHDTK, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.

 

Aside from being an effort to encourage the preservation of Indonesia’s bamboo biodiversity, it is hoped that the community will be able to use it sustainably as a source of welfare from this planting, especially as a source of local food. The bamboo planting activity is also part of the commemoration of Earth Day which falls on April 22nd.

 

A total of 3,000 Tabah Bamboo seeds to be planted are aids from CIMB Niaga Bank, as a form of corporate concern in environmental preservation through the Corporate’s Environment Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. The symbolic handover of aid was carried out at Graha Niaga, on April 24, 2018, from the President Director of CIMB Niaga Bank Tigor M. Siahaan to the Executive Director of the KEHATI Foundation, Riki Frindos.
